Throwback Thursday – the ‘Voice of Polo’ and the Gold Cup, Terry Hanlon

As the Gold Cup for the British Open Polo Championship gets underway this week at Cowdray Park Polo Club, we pay tribute to Terry Hanlon the ‘voice of polo’ and as a commentator, synonymous with Cowdray. This article from 1996 was received with much approval from Terry himself, who passed away in 2019. His style of commentary was unique, occasionally controversial, but always memorable.
